Yanks Win!

Big comeback win for the Yanks tonight. Wang is still off and they got behind early after he gave up 3 runs in the first. The Yanks pulled ahead on two two run shots by Abreu and Betemit. Wang left up 6-4 in the 7th only to have Villone give up a run on a coupled of wild pitchs. Joba came in in the 8th and bracketed two K's around a groundout to ARod. Mo, who threw 30 pitches yesterday gave up a run in the ninth on a bloop rally. In the bottom of the ninth, they hit Melky who went to third on Giambi's pinch hit single, and then one it in walk off fashion off of the Captain's infield hit. I can're remember the last time this team was so together. Go Yanks!

Solid win! Hopefully tomorrow we will hear more on the Igawa potential deal, as well as our draft picks.

I posted a mini Ranger update in the sweep thread below.

They came back twice. It was awesome!

Exactly! As the Captain said Mo picks us up so much it was our turn to pick him up.

I loved the pre-game ceremony with A-Rod. Especially when the bats fell LOL!!! Also liked seeing Jeter and A-Rod share a few laughs.

i thought we had a united team in '04 with all those comebacks.

I remember. I think the thing we have now that we haven't had since Jeter and Mo and Pettitte and Po were young was a mix of young talent with veteran professionalism. In 2004 we had a very professional team, but they didn't seem to have as much fun as this one does when they get things done.

Any idea what's wrong with Wang?

Laser, it is probably his finger which they talked about just before the all-star break.

Joe said after the game that "the finger" started acting up.

I think Igawa is gone in the off-season, if not by 2pm which Olney thinks will not be the case.

Dan you hearing anything on Rangers besides Peca? I am hearing a possible deal with Phoenix for Auld/Telqvist Vrbata and Jovo.
