That goes along with what I have heard Phil. Nylander has one last shot to stay agent meeting w Slats on Friday(from the Post). Nothing new on the Richards front, as Tampa would not budge on the contract. Gomez is the main target and Drury could be as well depends on Nylander.
weird that the draft is on a Friday night..
They're trying to make it an event...
Considering they cannot even get the awards show on right in the US I want to see how this pans out.
Are you confident that we get Gomez?
I don't want to get too excited, but he is exactly what we need.

They are just jealous that we can afford him and they cannot. I keep hearing we are in the mix and will pay more if that is what it takes. I think this potential signing would be the best player we have signed from NJD.
Without naming names Renney said at the fan fest this past weekend he felt we would definitely get one and very well could be two name free agents. Says that the culture of the team has changed that guys want to play here.
I tend to believe that, even though there are problems with the FO and coaching. Nothing like being on a good Ranger team.

Very good read. I think we take best player avail. Many are saying it's a weak draft and that we should trade for next yr 1st rounder which is supposed to be a loaded draft.

I like it!!!! Goes along with what Dan said and what I had heard. Not sure of the final number I am hearing possibly 3 mill with incentives. Shanny is also pushing hard for Gomez
