Phelps Out/Phillips Up
Andy's back, and let's hope this time he can hit major league lefties and breaking stuff. Seriously, the Yanks know Andy can't hold the job, so I'm sure either Dunn or someone else will be here soon.

It's about time Phelps is gone. I agree Dunn is on the way. Is Weathers still in the deal Dan? Are we going to complain about whom we give?
the last i heard it was Clippard and Eric Duncan for Dunn/Weathers...for some reaosns Reds love Duncan

Phil you okay with giving up Clip? I thought he had some promise, but I know we have better down on the farm

Eric Duncan is batting 3rd for SWB tonight.
he doesn't usually bat third so I'd assume he's being showcased.
Batting 3 would seem to indicate showcase for me. Dan would you think the timeline is still for the SF series or if it gets done next week sometime?
Even though Phillips was promoted, I still think they'd move Shelley up unless there was a reason not to.

If Dunn comes great, but Phillips is the best option at 1B until and unless that happens, although Phelps never got a chance to prove himself.

I actually think they can be reasoned out of that after a breather.
I think most negotiations follow the pattern of the Abreu deal. Teams tend not to make their most realistic offers until it gets closer to the trading deadline.
I think the Yanks will switch targets if this drags much.
