No Help In Sight

Apparently, the Dunn deal is dead. The Reds were trying take a little much and unload way too much. It remains intensely important to the future of the franchise that Cash not now trade any of the future core guys to the Rangers for Tex. No Hughes, no Chamberlain, no Tabata, no Betances, you get it... We need a solution, but not one that takes apart the future. Dan should be by with more.

Yanks-Dunn is officially dead..Reds GM wanted melky, clippard and duncan(shelly, not eric i found out) for dunn, weathers and griffey with us paying everyone salary...cashman basically said call me back when u really want to talk...yanks are interested in Texeria and will give up anyone(minor league and major league) besides hughes, arod, jeter u know the basics...no truth to shea hillebrand...dark horse is Derek Lee i heard if cubs fall of they might want to trade him for arms and clippard and few other might be able to get it done

Rangers- Gomez will be a Ranger baring some huge contract from a different team

Knicks- Kobe was told the chance of him being traded is 75 % but only East Coast teams, his choices 1. Knicks 2. Pistons 3. Bulls in that order

sorry for it being late..worked all day/night

I would consider trading Tabata for Texeira.

If we get Tex we better sign him long term..

I wouldn't consider trading Tabata for Tex.

how screwed is Tabata's wrist?

Girardi Turned down orioles job, most likely told he will get yankee job next year

Texeira is only 27 and he has already proven that he can put up a .900 OPS. We don't know whether or not Tabata will ever be able to do that.

I don't believe the Yankees told Girardi that he would get the Yankee job, but they damn well should.

Even if Joe wins it all?

Good Morning Dan and thank you for all the updates, much appreciated

IMO, no matter what happens, it's time to move on from Joe. I don't, however, think Cashman feels that way.

Tabata hasn't had his power since he hurt his wrist, but he still has that sick Sheffield like bat speed. He's gonna be a monster on O. This isn't Jackson Melian or Willie Mo Pena we'd be trading. He's a very special kid. We can get a 1B without "spending" him.

if the yanks win WS its a different story, but if not i believe girardi is the manager, if they win the WS he will be manager when torre retires after 2009

I can't see Girardi not managing until 2009.

I have always preferred Girardi to any other candidates. I just don't think Donnie is ready for the role as yet

At 10:46 AM, Blogger Rich said...

I think that if they hired Girardi today, it would maximize their chances of fulfilling their potential.

Until proven otherwise, I don't think that Cashman prefers Girardi to Mattingly, let alone Torre.

I bet we get a trade update later.

man, lot of movement in the system. Christian to AAA, Miranda and Curtis to AA, Austin Jackson and Chris Malek to High A, and Shawn Garrett was released. What's more, Clip should be throwing tonight, but he's not.

Don't know who was promoted to Charleston yet.

Phil from what you are hearing will we like any of the potential deals?
