My Favorite Comic Book Covers!
Batman, by Neal Adams! Neal Adams was sort of an executive John Buscema. His pencils were dynamic and anatomically plausible if not realistic. Adams and artist Irv Novick and Jim Aparo sort of restored the original `30's darkness to "The Batman" before Frank Miller ever got a chance to. Following the goofiness of the `50's Batman and the absurdity of the TV show and responding to the challenge that was Marvel (where Neal had worked on the X-Men), Adams, Novick and Aparo brough Batman back to where he began.
