Knicks Fire Fizdale

Reports are flooding in that the Knicks have fired David Fizdale. This was never a question of if but when. They asked him to tank last year, and the Knicks did.  They loaded him up with a passel of passable veterans this year - as well as the #3 overall pick in this year's draft - and asked him to compete.  But he still tanked.  He's an affable guy - but you are what your record says you are and so he's gone. No word if the have a replacement or if Mills and Perry will even be allowed to name one as Ujiri might be doing the honors - in which case, we'll see and interim coach for the rest of the season.   At least, that's the bet here.

UPDATE: The Knicks have named Mike Miller interim Head Coach. He's their G League guy who's had success and isn't part of Fizdale's hapless coterie of coaches.
