Yanks Make Another Trade for IFA Money


This is unusual: the Yanks traded J.P. Feyereisen to the Brewers for 16 year old Brenny Escanio,  a kid they had signed on 7/2/19, and international pool money.  So literally the Yanks are adding to their 2019 IFA class both by adding dough to sign their guys and by acquiring Brenny as well as the cash. We'll see if they make any more of these trades or whether they now have enough to lock up their class.

Haven’t been posting much because I’ve mostly become emotionally disinvested in the team following the non-actions at the deadline. But I’m curious: I thought July 31 was the hard deadline now that the waiver deadline has come and gone. Can you still trade minor leaguers for other minor leaguers/cash considerations?

As long as they're not on the 40, they can be traded. Hence, the two trades of the past few days,
