Rangers Announce Traverse City Roster
The Rangers, today, have announced their 24 Man roster for the Traverse City Tournament, which starts September 6th. Here they are:
FORWARDS
Kaapo Kakko
Vitali Kratsov
Karl Henriksson
Jake Elmer
Nick Jones
Ryan Dmowski
Brett Kemp
Shawn McBride
Cody Milan
Patrick Newell
Anthony Salinitri
Lewis Zerter-Gossage
The surprise above if the Karl Henriksson, this year's second second rounder is in from Sweden for the tourney. Elmer is the kid who had the outstanding overage season and got signed and Zerter-Gossage is Adam Fox's Harvard teammate - but he's already 24. I guess he's in charge of buying beer.
DEFENSE
Adam Fox
Matthew Robertson
Nico Gross
Joey Keane
Yegor Rykov
Tarmo Reunannen
Hunter Skinner
Kade Landry
Here it's interesting that Robertson is coming as he's headed off to college. Skinner cancelled his college plans and will either play overage in the WHL of make the AHL. Kade Landry is the only free agent pick up among this group. Everyone else cost a pick or two. But this group looks loaded. While the the Forwards have two possible superstars, Karl and Elmer, then a bunch of signed AHL or out guys.
GOALIES
Igor Shesterkin
Adam Huska
This could be Igor's first stateside pronouncement, and Huska is also good and homegrown.
This looks like the best team we've ever sent to Traverse City. That said, some teams will just send 24 year olds to grind on everyone else's teenagers. It's getting close.
