Yanks Promote King and Schmidt
Still don't have all the organizational photos I had had on the old computer, but today, the Yanks promoted Michael King to AAA, and Clarke Schmidt to AA. King had been injured all year before beginning his rehab assignment last month He has a tricky mix and knows how to pitch which could come in handy down the stretch. Schmidt was the first round pick two years ago who had already had TJS and was recovering, They've taken it slow and easy with him but it really was time to get this polished college pitcher moving. So this is all good news, witch King possibly helping this year.
In other pitching news, Betances and Severino both threw off the mound at Yankee Stadium today, and next stop will be Tampa to throw to live hitters, then rehab assignments. They could give the Yanks a huge lift.
