Yanks Day 2 Review
A plan more than a theme emerged out of today's 8 Yankee picks. It's all about the 10 round pool money and what you have to spend to be able to get more than 3 high upside guys per draft. So today today the Yanks took one high upside prep, and seven easy signers. Because we don't yet know of Siegler, Breaux or both took slot or under slot, we don't know if today's savings and the 5% allowance are for a Green, or for tomorrow.
Here's hoping that they've amassed a war chest. Btw, the reason I believe that Siegler might be underslot was that it was very important for him personally to be picked in the first round, rather than the second. And those kind of feelings can be leveraged.
We'll see tomorrow.

The defense has been spotty recently but some nice plays by Bird and Didi
Agreed with Siegler, odd that he showed up at the draft as a projected 2nd rounder. Seemed like he got a promise from a team(Yankees, maybe another) he'd be their pick, likely at a slot discount. I think most of the savings is for the Ryder pick. Would not be surprised to see the top 3 picks get roughly the same amount.
Every rule has exceptions… Yes!
Russell Martin has basically not been able to hit since his Dodgers days except for 2014 when he was an impending free agent. Strange
Andujar is the third baseman. What can Drury be combined with?
I wish Hicks or Gardner, but more likely they may have to include pitching to get pitching.
Yanks win! 30 more Yankees tomorrow!
I would guess an Adams, Frazier, Acevedo along with Drury could get a good SP.
That would be a first
There is no pitcher out there worth that package.
Rich,/Phil thinking a little ahead. If they really want Machado, can you see them selling high on Didi in the winter?
I think they're more likely to trade him to make room for Gleyber at short.
They need a big lefty bat if they’re acquiring offense. Machado is redundant.
