This Week on the Blog

Okay, this week we learned that the Knicks can't with without KP, the Rangers are back to normal, Justus Sheffield got hit in the leg with a comebacker, and the Giants continue to be in disarray.  Let's look at the horizon.

Yankees:  Brian Cashman will hit the GM meetings this Monday, and over the past several years, that is where he has either made trades (Hicks) or laid the groundwork for trades (Granderson), so this could be eventful.  Free agency is open, and player movement can start at any time.  Giancarlo Stanton is apparently on the market, and it's sort of important that the Yanks don't let the Sox have him. Also, Justus Shefflield got hit in the leg with a comebacker today in the AFL, so hopefully they'll just shut him down.

Rangers, the Rangers won again, and, yes, Buch scored another goal.  Nash score twice, and Grabner had another goal.  Shatty assisted on Buch's goal, and McD, and Skjei also had assists.  Zuuc had two. Grabner's which came from Fast, was another empty netter. So the Rangers are now scoring in 6 on 5 instead of giving up goals which can only be seen as a positive development.

Knicks: the Knicks are another to play and KP is back.  They have to move someone by Monday to make room for Noah, so this could be the beginning of their next trade cycle, or just a parting of ways with Sessions or one of the other scrubs.  Neeed another win now.

Giants: the Giants will be in California playing another team that has an even worse record than they do, tomorrow. Seemed like McAdoo might have gotten fired in the wake of the Rams loss, their worst since 1968, but he'll still be at the helm tomorrow.  The clock seems to be tick on both he and Reeese.

So there you have it.  Stuff could start happening with the Yanks this week, the Rangers stopped sucking, the Knicks have to make a move and the Giants are the Giants.  At least Williams beat Amherst (in OT).  Have a great week everybody.

Dotson looked good tonight.

I hate McAdoo now. Only an asshole uses the words fake news in a sports context in such a polarized environment. F him.

Dotson needs more run. They have to move someone today or tomorrow. Let's hope it's a trade rather than a release.

I hope it’s not just limited to the coach, Reese must go as well. They will likely not win a game the rest of the year... I wonder if Peyton Manning would be willing to be the gm?

I love how they say there’s a Giants way of doing things. But for Pete Rozelle forcing the Maras to hire George Young this franchise would be one of the biggest jokes of all time. That one move put this franchise together for 40+ years, but now it’s time to blow it up and start over.
