Rangers Waive Tanner Glass
So maybe there are consequences... The Rangers have finally waived Tanner Glass. Of course this is a move that should have been made in camp on a player that should have never been signed for one year, let alone three years. Look, I'm sure Glass is a great guy, and the guys like to be around him, but in today's NHL you can't have unproductive players and Glass is the very definition of that. I assume he'll go down to Harford and teach the kids "grit" or whatever hockey skill he has to teach. The move creates a little more cap room.

He's their Drew and Ryan and Young and ...
From the NYDN:
Fans who have called non-stop for Glass’ departure have no feel for his significance behind the scenes.
Those qualities, Glass’ professionalism, and his playoff experience were major reasons coach Alain Vigneault valued Glass both in Vancouver and New York.

I really enjoy the mediots who think fans don't know enough to have an opinion because a marginal player does just sooo much that isn't seen.
We hear the same shit about Drew.
If you rely that much on terrible players, than management needs to go.
