Another Yankee Coaching Tid-bit

So, along with hiring three new coaches, the Yanks have now made Tony Pena 1B Coach and Rob Thomson bench coach.  Which probably means Espada is the new 3B coach, a position he held with the Marlins.   But, the FO was clearly tired of seeing Thomson send everyone.

Good. Thompson was an accident waiting to happen.

If they get rid of Girardi, maybe we can find out if Cashman can develop talent.

Thompson was a bench coach in Girardi's first year here in NY. He also had 1B coaching experience. So maybe those spots are more his "circle of expertise".

I can't comment on the new guy though. Marlins had less guys thrown out at the plate, but that alone is not an indicator of the 3B coach's abilities.
