Yankees: Pineda Named 5th Starter

27 Months after the deal that rocked the Yankee System, Michael Pineda is finally joining the Yankee rotation.   This gives the Yanks yet another mid-20s starter with upside to go along with Nova and Tanaka.   If they pitch well, we can call them the "Ahs."   But this is actually a pretty exciting time to be a Yankee fan, outside of the abysmal infield situation, because if CC is anything like CC or just adjusts to diminished stuff like a lot of big lefties have over the years, we could have an rotation that keeps us in games most of the time.    The pen hasn't been announced, but it should be strong and getting stronger as the season progresses and some of the power relievers from the minors graduate.

It still would not surprise me if the Yankees did something about the infield in the next few days.

Hope Betances gets a spot in the bullpen.

No reason why he shouldn't.
