Giants Update

The biggest news of the day is that 2 time Super Bowl Champion David Diehl is probably going to retire.  For the past few years, his decline has been noted and decried, but he should go down as a Giant great.  His versatility held the line together for several years, and he had an absolutely great career for a 5th round pick who became a first year starter and an 11 year solution for the Giants.  He was the left tackle on a few of the greatest lines in Giants history and that should not be forgotten as he rides off into the sunset.

In other Giant news, they signed a camp punter named Jordan Gay.  He would seem to have no chance of unseating Weatherford.

Finally, no more candidates have been announced for the Giants vacant OC spot.   I have maintained that they will probably higher 2 of the 4 guys they've talked to, with one being OC and one being QB coach.  I'll go a little further and say, I think Sullivan will be the new QB coach, because he is familiar with Good Eli.  And that either Loggains or McAdoo will be the new OC.  In fact, I think McAdoo will have had to blow them away today to unseat Loggains, who I get the feeling blew them away in his interview last week.  We should probably know something in the next 24 hours.
