Rangers Win

The Rangers went up to Buffalo and took care of business.  It was a bit of a weird game and the Sabres tried all sorts of ways to get going including behind the back and between the legs passes that seemed to do nothing but annoy the Rangers.   Nash started the scoring, when he received a perfect Derek Stepan tip pass, as he was steaming down the left wing, then beat Miller with it.  It was a great play that we should see more of.    McDonagh started it with a long pass to Stepan from in front of Hank.   Hank was excellent, carrying the the shutout till there were less than 4 minutes to go in the third.   Richards had another goal on a tough angle.    MZA finished the scoring, and was good all night.

I remember when JT Miller was drafted and was called a bigger Callahan.  In a lot of ways MZA is a smaller Callahan.  Man, that little guy is game.  Meanwhile, Pouliot was awful, and seemed vaguely aware of where he was and that there was a hockey game going on.   He's got to a be sent down.   Poor Brassard was playing with him, and his good passes were for naught.   The Boyle/Pyatt sort of created chances, but weren't close to converting any of them.   Boyle ended up on his knees in front of the goalie where, if he had been able to stand his ground, he might have scored.  Oh and Kreider, really, really finishes his checks.  Sheesh, he just crunches people.   That play where Stepan tipped it to Nash can also work if he tips it to Kreider streaking down the right side.  I hope we see more of it.
