Rangers Tonight

Tonight the Rangers welcome the Caps to the Garden.   The question worrying all of us today is whether or not Marc Staal received another concussion when he was hit in the head by Reid Boucher of the Devils last night (uncalled).   Apparently, he's been ruled out of tonight's game so now the only question is how long will he be gone for this time?

My guess is tonight, Del Zotto and Falk will both play.   But if this is going to be like the Staal injuries of the last two years, we might end up seeing the NHL debut of Dylan McIlrat or Conor Allen.  This could also scotch any plans they have of trading Del Zotto any time soon, though, if they trade him for another D, it could still happen,

The Rangers really have a problem with cheap shots. They have to either call up people who can act as deterrents or trade for someone, but Boucher should be out as long as Staal will be and a Ranger should have made that happen.   Let's see if they can play all three periods and beat the Caps tonight.

Something has to give, can't see the status quo for much longer.
