Rangers Tonight

The Rangers take on the Preds tonight.   Marc Staal is still out, though they were calling it a neck thing rather than a concussion.   Of course there's also such thing as a spinal concussion.    We'll see.

The Rangers who will be playing need to start playing better, starting with Hank.   The start of this year has been about his worst ever, and his save % at even strength is just .918, which is the lowest of his career.    Then we need Brassard and John Moore to show more of the promise they displayed after the trade.   Callahan has to pick it up.   And Stepan has to get back to last year's level.  He's not quite there yet.    Stralman should be contributing a bit more.   In general, everyone needs to pick it up.    McDonagh, Kreider, MZA and Richards are momentarily excused from this critique.    Still, they could all be a little better - not Richards  who's playing out of his mind - but the other three.   LGR.

UPDATE:  AV just said it is a concussion from Marc Staal and that he doesn't need to see the Michigan specialist.   Ugh.   Also, Pyatt and Pouliot are both scratched -- it's a start!
