Yanks and Carlos Beltran

Rumors are flying that there is mutual interest between the Yanks and Carlos Beltran.    This is unusual since Carlos is still playing baseball in the NLCS.    Of course, the Yanks are generally wise about tampering, but there are always backchannels going on with agents providing the deniability.   It wouldn't surprise me at all if Beltran finally becomes a Yankee this offseason.  He certainly fits their preference for old outfielders.    I guess the only thing that could stop it would be the money.  But with all of their room, even under 189, they should be able to work something out.  Like they should have all those years ago.

With rumors swirling he's interested in the Yankees, I don't see why they wouldn't.

Then the Yanks can't do it.

Agreed. No way should they give the Cardinals the No. 17 pick. (Or is it 18?)

I think it's 18.

Love Beltran. Not for a #18 pick in a deep draft.
