Rangers Win But Stepan Gets His Bell Rung

The Rangers looked much better last night as Hank recorded his first shutout of the season against the Caps.  John Moore and Cally got the goals.  Would have been a great night, but Brouwer hit Stepan in the head, and now they Rangers have observe the concussion protocol with Step.

Everyone talks about the concussions in football, but they have been taking their toll on the Rangers these past few years between, Stall, Sauer, Nash and now Stepan.     The Rangers really need an enforcer type to discourage the kind of hits Brouwer laid on Step, and the league needs to step in and do a better job of protecting the players.   You'd think losing Crosby for all that time would have had them making new rules.   But, they haven't done enough yet and this has gotten ridiculous.
