Woodson and The Knicks
One of the great defenders in Knick history, Mike Woodson, has returned to the Knicks in the defensive coordinators post, though he can also be seen as the coach in waiting. He seems to have been Larry Brown's DC during his successful Detroit run. And if that's not a sinister enough name for you, Isiah Thomas is said to have supported Woodson's hire. Still, he was a Knick pick before either Brown or Thomas entered the picture. I don't know if my ringer theory can be applied to coaches, and it really has been a long time since Woodson was a Knick, but I think he will do a good job and figure some simple things they can do to improve their D. Amar'e may be a bit of a lost cause, but Melo has shown some interest, and Toney Douglas and some of the kids, could become plus defenders.
I still have a feeling the Knicks will do something after the strike and before the season to improve their roster. I'm not sure it will be a 3rd superstar, but it could be another regular star or two.
