Knicks Pickup Chauncey's Option

The Knicks today picked up the option on Chauncey Billups' contract meaning they will have little cap room to do the things they want to this summer. Chauncey's expiring could become valuable at the deadline, or if CP3 decides to force something this summer. The Knicks still need big men, defense and another scorer. That Chauncey was picked up lends credence to to the rumors that Donnie Walsh will be coming back, too. Walsh wanted assurances the would have full control over basketball operations. We'll see what else can be done to improve this flawed, but potentially great team. Go Knicks!
