Yanks Get Feleciano

What number loogy is this for the oughts teams? I guess he will be fine if he can get out Ortiz, Gonzalez and Crawford, but like all the other loogies, he will end up pitching against right handed hitters and get smoked. You have to have a top set up corp to afford and manage a loogy properly. I'm not sure that is what we have yet. Go Yanks!

I like the move, and though reports say not interested they should sign Soriano

Not a fan of giving a roster spot to a one-trick pony. Would prefer they sign Fuentes then either sign Soriano or trade for Soria.

Soria is going to cost a boatload, plus doesn't he have a NTC to NYY? Though I would be in favor of the move for the right price

Well with the way Girardi likes to manage the 'pen, I think he prefers having a loogy type. He's all about mixing and matching so it fits into his philosophy. I like fuentes but the volatility ofrelievers makes me not like his asking price + years.

I know King Felix has a NTC for the top 10 market teams, but I'm not sure on Soria. Soriano would cost a first-round draft pick, and I'd be hesitant to give that up unless they plan on making him the closer after Rivera's two years are up.

Given what it would cost to get Soria, I much, much prefer Soriano because it would be worth far more than a #1 pick.

Girardi overmanages. Feliciano's presence will only make that worse.

But my primary concern is not trading Montero and Banuelos.

Everything else pales in comparison.

I still don't like the idea of giving up a first-rounder in a supposedly deep draft, but if I knew he'd stick around to close after Rivera retires, I'd be more open to it.

Agreed on Girardi, and we already have Logan, do we really need to spend $4 million a year for two years on a LOOGY? Plus, Joe is going to pitch him against righties like he did Logan. Ugh.

Better not trade Betances, either.

Yanks interested in Keppinger for the bench.

Why not just pickup Hairston?

Scott? Not Jerry.

Lurking on NYYFans makes me glad I no longer post there. People are actually blaming Cashman for not being a good enough recruiter RE: Lee. Unbelievable.

Yanks sign Luis Vizcaino to a minor league deal.

Pettitte is apparently learning toward retirement. I suspect the non-trade for Dan Haren, whom Cashman didn't want to give up Joba Chamberlain for, will go down as one of his worst decisions ever when all is said and done.

Who else besides Joba was in a potential Haren deal?

Joba + B prospects IIRC. Brackman might have be requested too.

Yanks should be in on Gregg/Rauch.

Yanks interested in Damon.
