Yanks Lose

Attack of the memories today: Bad AJ; Manny; Bad Second Inning from Park; Girardi using Logan in high leverage situation; Jeff Weaver; Torre using his closer for 5 outs in a 5 run game. Blech and pitooey to it all! We lost a game in the standings, but we're still in first by two and Andy will set things right tomorrow. Go Yanks!

This is the way it will be for AJ until his contract expires, he is traded, or is bought out.

He will pitch great for a while. There will be articles asking whether he has finally become the pitcher his stuff would suggest that he could be.

Then he will suck again.

Rinse. Repeat.

I still think he can be a good one inning reliever.

That was always my fallback belief. Be nice if one of those good starts came soon. It's been ridiculous.

Where is Eiland when AJ really needs him?

I know he is on personal leave for 3 more weeks but AJ NEEDS him.

Let's assume that Eiland is unavailable even for AJ to visit him wherever he is (I'm not sure why, but let's assume), what is more perplexing is why the Yankees (as Phil said) haven't brought Aldred or a real pitching coach to NY.

If Harkey is not a real pitching coach then should not be here.

I don't know if he's real or not, but he wasn't currently working as one, so it's reasonable to think that he was not in demand.

But I don't think Eiland is better an average pitching coach, so I don't think he should be there either.
