Our Guy

CC Sabathia was brilliant tonight pitching 8 innings of 1 run ball at Dodger Stadium and winning a 2-1 game for the Yanks. And he was hip, too. After Padilla hit Cano with a pitch, CC hit Padilla with a pitch. Both sides were warned. Then CC retired Padilla and Furcal by inducing the comebacker and starting the double play. That's how these Championship Yankees roll, Mr. T. Oh and ARod, batting 4th instead of 8th, had a double and the game winning homer tonight. Mo loves you, Mr. T but he needed to strike out the side in the 9th just to button things up. AJ goes tomorrow. Go Yanks!

Alex said in the postgame that he was hitting better because his hip felt better. He has previously referred to it as his groin. I hope he just misspoke.

Jack Curry just said Cash said they think they discovered that AJ has been tipping his pitches.

Brackman appears to have had a decent first start at AA. 5K GO/FO: 8-2

Either way, maybe that second surgery this offseason is advisable, just to be safe.

Between the major league team (which I still think has its best games ahead of it this season) and the many young players blossoming in the minors, it's a good time to be a Yankees fan.

Brackman had a fine first start in the knew league. His stuff was good and he only had 1 walk. The other stuff will take care of itself if he doesn't walk people.

The Yanks could be heating up.

The cruel tease that is AJ’s career continues.

I can't believe AJ has been bad this long, nor can I believe our game management today.

More evidence of that, is the decision to pitch Park for a second inning. It's a continuing, inexcusable, and disturbing pattern.

I think Torre owed it to us to leave Weaver in longer.
