John Mara Goes OFF!

So what does it say about the Giants "performance" this year that the gentleman in the picture with the Cardinal went off today? The've got it on http://www.wfan.com/ and in many ways you can tell that John Mara is as die hard as the most die hard fan, but he just happens to be one of the owners. You've heard of people putting things in "no uncertain terms"? Well, John Mara doesn't have other kind of terms. Expect changes

Btw, as is there habit, we won't know about changes till after they've happened. I'm pretty sure some of the coaches have already been fired. Go Giants!

I'll believe that they are serious if Gilbride goes. After reading Smith's comments, it really should be Coughlin, but that isn't going to happen, so that only leaves the mediocre OC.

Schefter reported on Sportscenter Gilbride's contract has expired...

Many Giants fans perceived that the players, particularly the defenders, quit trying in the last two games but Reese said he rejected that conclusion.

“No, I don’t think that,” Reese said. “I look for that. I think our players played hard and tried hard. The perception is they laid down and didn’t compete. I didn’t see that.”
___

But his players think it too:

"I just think we didn't go out there playing tough enough," wide receiver Steve Smith said. "We just weren't motivated. Some games it seemed like we had great weeks of practice, but we didn't show it on game day."
___

That is a very disappointing and confidence shaking comment by Reese.

Rich,

Reese might have a different idea of who the players are than we do. He definitely say Tuck, Osi, T2 and some of the others trying their butts off. Some of the others may no longer be a consideration to him.

I wish his quote would reflect that.

Given the talent, there is a major crisis on both sides of the ball that can't be solved by merely letting Sheridan go.

He said he thought they still had a good nucleus and that they'd make moves.

Sheridan is not the last of the firings. They may just keep the outgoing assistants around until the replacements are set.

I hear all but Waufle may be gone on D, and that Palmieri is under fire.

OT, the Rangers play just well enough to be stuck in mediocrity forever.

I won't start covering the Rangers again until they really make some progress.

I was gonna post this the other day Phil, but you should edict that as you did with the Knicks and it got Isiah fired. If it can get Sather fired we are onto something. Rangers will go nowhere until he is removed.

OOT, Boras really did well with the Holliday contract.

Yes he did, considering there were no other bidders.
