Yanks Lose in Extras

We had our chances, sorry. 8 and 2 for the homestand and now it's onto Texas. Hughes goes tomorrow and we may need some pen call-ups. Go Yanks!

Good old fashioned baseball game and series. We will lose some of these. We had our chances. I am very positive about this team. We need to get Po back and dump Cash. We also need an answer for Matsui and possibly a couple of changes in the pen. I am very happy with this group overall.

Exactly, there are some really good ingredients on the team already and they're gonna keep improving. Especially when they get Po back, and the pen straightened out.

Hughes against TX is not a good matchup at all.

I will be surprised if he makes it past the 4th inning.

I think Hughes early career struggles will make him a better pitcher down the line. He came out smoking at 20 years old and a little adversity and hard work will pay off. Every game is not do or die. We need to let the kid develop and learn. I think he's got what it takes, he's just going to have to work a little harder than we first thought. That may mean getting knocked around by the Rangers.

the team he was in the process of no-hitting two years ago?

That TX team 2 years ago didn't have:

Hamilton
Davis
Andrus
Saltalamachia

Huge difference there.

Yanks will be lucky not to get swept.

They had Teixeira. And I doubt the Yanks get swept.

They had Tex, Sosa, Wilkerson, Catalanotto and Lofton.

I hope NY takes 2 of 3 and they will have to be Tues and Wed games.

Maybe Hughes will beat them tomorrow. The thing that worries me, is that both Hughes and Joba got their first major league injuries pitching in Texas.

I think Hughes can give us six good innings tomorrow. I worry more about getting through 7, 8, and 9.

Hughes is a california boy, he always seems to turn it up in warm weather. His last start was the warmest of the year for him and he had 9 k's, he was no hitting texas in texas. I think this could be real good game for him
