Yanks Win
Robinson Cano brought his new approach into game three, and came up with his 3rd walk, two more singles and his first homer of the year. Nick Swisher got his first start in right and contributed a two run homer, a two run double and a single. Mark Teixeira continued to heat up with a homer and a single, and Brett Gardner added a single and a double of his own. Nady had a ground rule double in the 8th after struggling through his first few ab's at DH. Ramiro Pena got his first major league hit in the top of the 9th and scored on Nick Swisher's two run double.
AJ Burnett was good, but couldn't quite make it a quality start. His PC got a little high due to deep counts and an inconsistent strikezone. Still he K'd 6 in 5.1 ip, and held the birds to two runs. Coke relieved him and K'd both hitters he faced to end the 6th. Veras pitched a 1-2-3 7th and Bruney a 1-2-3 8th. Mo pitched a scoreless 9th just to get some work in as it was 11-2 Yanks to start the frame.
I think we're gonna see a lot more games like this than like the first two this year.
