Yanks Comeback Falls Short

Down 7-2 the Yanks scored three runs and had a man on second before Hideki Matsui popped out to end the game. Wang's pitches were up and he gave up 7 runs before being lifted. The Yanks once again left plenty of men on base. Cano had more good ab's including a single and a double, but did have one of those one pitch groundouts in the 8th. Tex double in the 5th run breaking a personal 0-8 streak that started his Yankee career. Jeter continued his good work at lead off and contributed a walk and a two run homer. Hopefully the little 9th inning rally and good work by the pen will get the Yanks primed again. AJ Burnett makes his debut tomorrow. Go Yanks.
