Yanks on YES
At 1:05 on YES, the Yanks will air their second ST game, and we'll see the pinstriped debut of Mark Teixeira. Nady will be in for Swisher, and Po's not playing, but otherwise it will be a standard Yankee line-up. They'll use lots of pitchers today, most notably starter Phil Hughes and reliever Mark Melancon. Plenty to watch, plenty to see.

You mind sharing some thoughts on how Hughes and Melancon looked today if you were able to watch the game? Nice work with your blog. Thanks.
Hughes was fine, he hit two batters, walked one, and k'd two in two innings. He didn't give up any hits, and I believe both K's were of the swinging variety. He threw a few good curves, too.
Melancon got two groundouts and full count K on a called strike. He kept the fastball down and wasn't really showing his curve today. In general the Yanks were just throwing fastballs and change-ups with very few breaking balls.
