Anisimov Up?

Rumor has it that the Rangers celebrated Super Bowl Sunday by calling up Artem Anisimov, their top minor league center. Artem is only 20 (will turn 21 in late May) and is 6'4" and nearly 200 pounds. He skates very well and his offense is continuing to emerge. He's been a +16 over the past season and a half in Hartford, and that's nice. I think he could be a difference maker for the Rangers, especially as he adds he continues to mature and add power. He will probably end up centering Zherdev and super junior Evgeny Grachev for a sweet skating all Russian line in the not too distant future. Seriously, this kid could turn out to be pretty special if he keeps developing. I believe he and Bobby Sanguinetti were the only Ranger prospects chosen for the AHL all-star game. Let's hope this one is true.
