Turn 2?
There's a report this morning that the Yanks are looking to trade 2 from the group of Swisher, Matsui and Nady. Matsui has a full no trade and is thought to have approved the Dodgers, Giants and Mariners as destinations. Swisher and Nady have no restrictions, though Swisher would have to command a lot since he's the best all around player of the three and the Yanks just trade for him. So it seems that Matsui and Nady would be the most likely to go. And if Matsui goes the Yanks will need a DH and they might be able to get one on the cheap in January. Go Yanks!

Manny in Jan? I thought we could not sign him due to not being able to sign 4 type A's.
Where do you see these guys winding up Phil, and what for?
I don't think it will be Manny, but maybe one of the other hitters who's out there. If we trade Matsui and Nady we need a new DH.
Oh, and I don't know what kind of trade packages would be involved or what they would yield.
Now it is Cashman's turn to do something like:
Matsui/Igawa/some cash for Andruw Jones
Andruw has looked pretty cooked for the past two years.
If we clear Matsui and Nady I'm pretty sure Manny will be the DH.
I don't think so. I think he'll end up back with the Dodgers. They're offseason tickey sales are way off, and they think it's no Manny more than it is the economy.
