The Rangers Finally Score!

The Rangers got younger, faster and cheaper today by trading Tyutin and Backman for emerging wingers Nikolai Zherdev and Dan Fritsche from the Bluejackets. I love this move. Tyutin never became the franchise defender he was projected to be, and getting anything other than cap space for Backman is a blessing. The Rangers need to do more on offense and perhaps add another Dman now, but this was their strongest move so far. Well done.
