Yanks Lose

Brett Gardner was 0-3 with a stolen base in his major league debut tonight. But even his sizzling speed couldn't make his new teammates grind against a series of very mediocre Texas pitchers. They wasted a quality start by Mike Mussina and strong relief from Edwar, Veras and Giese. What's even more disconcerting than their lackluster offense and record, is the fact that they may be in the process of trading for Randy Wolf, he of the sub-100 ERA+ over the last few years. Something's got to change.
