More on ARod

http://blog.nj.com/ledgeryankees/2007/11/arod_near_deal_to_stay_a_yanke.html#more

Apparently, the first three years of ARod's new deal would be relatively cheap, while the Yanks retire the deals of Giambi, Abreu, Moose, Damon, Matsui and others, and not go up to 30M or so until those other deals were off the books. That's cashflow friendly. Good stuff. Go Yanks!

I heard it on Bostons ESPN Radio that 4 teams have offered him a 4 year deal in which one of teams was indeed the yankees, and then ABC News up there said it also reported from the moose on BBI...but i heard hes going to back to red sox tonight to match the offer or hes gone

Yeah, I wouldn't be so sure that that offer is still there. It might have been just to make the Red Sox go 4.

The Sheet rumor has been around for awhile. Who knows? I do know the Yanks were trying to get Sheets for years, but it seems like his injuries would have dampened that impulse.
