Mo Yet to Respond to 3/45M

It may be a matter of Mo being over in the DR and having to travel back to NYC to TCOB, or maybe Fern Cuza has developed a crack habit. In any event, this should get done and soon. Perhaps we'll get an announcement on Yankees Hot Stove, which debuts on YES tomorrow night.

And so far, so good on the no Mike Lowell front. Nearly 24 hours in, the Yanks have not made any known offer to the slick fielding, Fenway inflated former Yankee. Go Yanks!

I am very interested in what Cash has in store for 3b and the pen. I agree with you Phil I don't Lowell.

Peter Abraham has a column on his blog that says that Cashman will reach out to Lowell.

Rather give up the picks than get someone like Sanchez for 3B.

Abraham is always wrong.

btw, since neither Cuza nor Cash are returning calls right now, I'd take it Mo's deal is going final and will be announced tonight or tomorrow.

Once Mo is done Phil what do you see on the horizon?

a lot of patient exploration of options.

15MM is alot for Mo but you have to do what you have to do.

We need a 3B and need to save any valuable chips for pitching.

Bring Lowell in for 4 years at 13MM a season.

Lowell isn't worth it and isn't a particularly good hitter outside of Fenway.

He is better than Betemit.

Who do you want for 3B?

and please don't say A-Rod cause that chapter is closed.

I'll say whateve I want here, thanks.

I'd say ARod, Cabrera if the price is bearable maybe Sanchez, or just find a platoon partner for Betemit who just turned 26 and outside of Fenway is a better hitter than Lowell.

So you say A-Rod because you live in fantasy land??

Come on dude...It is over for him.

I wouldn't mind Cabrera but he will cost a ton.

I wouldn't mind Rolen if he is 100%.

Tejeda? He might cost a bit trading within the division.

Not looking to start a fight..Just having a baseball discussion.

So which team is richer than the Yanks and better able to afford ARod, dude?

Lowell's numbers prove he is not the same hitter outside Fenway. Arod is the best option by far. I guess we will see how badly any bridges were burned.

Never said NY didn't have the most money to spend. A-Rod decided to turn his back on NY his "Fans". Losing 30MM from TX is not chump change.

A-Rod wants the big payday and the Angels, Giants, Dodgers are going to be in it.

Angels...Moreno has always liked him and wants to make a splash.

Giants...Getting A-Rod will soften the blow to the fans for losing Bonds.

Dodgers...They need the offense and have the money to spend.

I'll tell you what...If A-Rod comes back and talks to Hank/Cashman and is willing to take a 30MM paycut from the top offer then I will have respect for him.

they lost 21M from Tex, not 30. Also, that's less than they lost on Igawa.

Giants, flat can't afford him and it would be very tough for the Angels, too. Neither has their own cable network. Neither do the Dodgers and their owner is poor by Baseball owner standards.

ARod will have no shot of winning if he signs with SF. The Dodgers chances while better still are not overwhelming. ARod is going to have to accept less to return imo. He is the best option far and away and I think before he goes anywhere he will come back to the Yanks with his offer.

The Dodgers #1 choice is a trade for Santana

and the Angels #1 choice is a trade for Cabrera.

Reports keep saying that Anaheim would rather get Cabrera b/c it would cost less in terms of dollars. They have one of the best farm systems out there. Cabrera to LAA severely limits ARods options.
