Kennedy Lifts the Yanks!
In his major league debut, Ian pitched 7 strong innings of 5 hit, 6K, 1ER ball. He worked out of soime trouble early and finished strong. In even better news for the Yanks young pitchers, Dave Eiland has come up from the minors where he coached Phil Hughes during his great 2006 season at AA. Eiland will stay with the big league club for the rest of the season and he will get Phil's mechanics working again. Go Yanks!

Isn't that Marco Vechionacci?
No, that's Ian.
Now it is. :)
He has the same eyebrows and was listed as Ian when I googled it.
He was excellent today and got stronger as the game went on.
He was great. Throws strikes and seems to know how to pitch. The consistent 91 with the fastball was a pleasant surprise.
He doesn't have a lousy fastball, he just doesn't have great velocity. He knew what he was doing and we have won a hell of a lot of games with pitchers who stayed withing themselves and knew how to pitch.
great win today. Need to win the series tomorrow. Ian looked very good in his debut, including the long 2nd and 3rd innings where he gave up minimal damage.
Will there be a Giants thread about the cuts? I hope we have something in mind for kicker not sold on Tynes.
I'll put one up in awhile.
Excellent! Thank you Phil!! Posters at BBI seem to think we will be signing players cut from other teams should be interesting!
Excellent news on Eiland, we need to get Hughes straight and fast.
