Hughes is Struggling

Phil Hughes has not pitched like Phil Hughes since returning from his leg injuries. His fastball velocity and command aren't where they were last year and he has no feel for his curve and change. He has given up 5 runs through 3 today, on 2 run jacks and 1 inside the park home run, which Matsui should've caught and Damon or Melky would have caught. If we had any alternatives, I'd hope that Phil could go get recallibrated down at AAA, but it seems like he will have to figure it out in the bigs. Let's hope that Gator and Kerrigan can help him. I've been really umipressed with how they've handled the kid starters so far.

Hughes has been very unimpressive since he has returned. I hope that Gator and Kerrigan fix him up and quick as you say, otherwise the season may be lost, considering Moose is almost an automatic loss each start.
