Giants Start Out 0-1

The Giants couldn't get any stops with their new fangled D which bore a close resemblance to their oldfangled D. What complicates thing more were the injuries to Osi, Jacobs, Dockery, and finally Manning - who was having a great day, until his shoulder was bruised as the result of an egregious, yet uncalled, personal foul. The O functioned reasonably well except for a series of crucial drops by Plax, Shockey and Smith that derailed what might have been scoring drives.

The D was really the story, though. They couldn't stop the pass or the run, and it really looked like they hadn't practiced.

We have to hope that Manning, Osi and Jacobs will be back soon, but the reality is, the clock was ticking on the coaching staff before losing on opening night.

Coughlin said Jacobs is an MCL. Eli needs to be iced down and they will re-evaluate. I would think they would give him an MRI as well.

Defense was atrocious.

I said it 9 months ago ill say it again....coaching staff is an embarassment to this orginization and that Eli will be a very good QB, i really dont think we can expect any more out of eli then what he gave us tonight....if Dallas didnt score there Eli would have been back in that game, hes a tough SOB

Those drops by Plax, Shockey and Smith really hurt us tonight. We might have scored a few more times had we just caught the ball.

Romo and Dallas are not as good as we made them look tonight.

this defense better shape up real fricken quick or else were gonna have a nice draft pick next year....our offense scores 35 points and we still lost its so embarassing and if Eli is out for some time there is no way jload should be a starter he is horrible
