Turning for Home?

Strong rumor that Artest is heading for home, and it could be as soon as Monday. The price I hear is Malik, Nate and Balkman. I find that stupid. Sacramento wants to get rid of Artest, so how do we let them act like he had to be pried away? Why isn't Jefferies or some other crap Isiah has acquired anywhere in this deal? Why are we only seeing a solid guy and two high upside picks going over? What Isiah has done best for the Knicks is pick, and if thise deal goes through, exactly two of his picks will be left on the team. It's absurd. BTW, I'm sure we're gonna hear that there was competition for the Lakers. Well if that is so, let them dump their talented youth and keep Nate and Balk. This seems wildly foolish, particularly given the fact the Artest can get himself suspended at any moment. It seems reactionary to the trade the Celts made and that's no way to run an organization. BTW, I do think Artest makes the Knicks better, but I think we could have made a much better deal.

Ric Bucher on ESPN radio today said Artest would be a Knick and Nate would be gone within the next two weeks.

I agree with you though, that price is extremely foolish. We should be giving them more of the junk on our roster then guys with upside like Balk.

Rangers note despite what Shane is hearing we are done, I am still hearing we are actively looking for D.

we should wait a month and give them Jefferies and the expirings...

This seems like a reaction to Garnett if you ask me. Why do our beloved teams need to react to what Boston does(Igawa)?

Likewise on the Rangers. They are not done.

I have no idea why. I bet we're gonna hear that we had to beat the Lakers out. It does seem reactive, though we've been talking about adding Artest since before the draft.

If we hear about the Lakers as well, that only convinces even more that this is a panic move. Artest can be had for a lower price then we are probably going to pay. If Nate goes I wont be as upset, but Balk as well?? I do not like it.

The Laker guys have been talking about adding Artest all week on their afternoon show.

Do they really think that is going to get Kobe to back off his demands? I could see if Artest was the missing piece, but I dont like giving up part of the future for now. If we wanted Artest why did genius Ed Tapscott pick Frederick Weiss!!!

I do think if this goes down, we wont like the price we are going to pay.

Rangers note:Redden still in play b/c they have decided they cant keep Heatley and Redden both. They prefer Heatley and are listening to offers. NYR not done...
