ARod finally his his 500th homer and he did it in the first inning of a game where the Yankees absolutely destroyed the Royals. Hughes was shaky to poor in his first start back, but no worries. The O is ripping and roaring and it doesn't feel like they're gonna stop. Betemit was a perfect addition to the team and has not only had good ab's but hits. Damon had a tough day and Po did,too to an extent, but everybody else, from the Captain through Melky brought their rakes and went to work. Hughes will get in his groove and the Yanks will get to the post season. GO YANKS!

Hughes will only get better. Gotta love the kid after the game saying that he has lots to work on and will be better next time.
A-Rod is back in form now with 500 out of the way.
Betemit was a great pickup and is proving that we no longer need Cairo. I always liked his game and knew he would do well here. Just needs to work on some 1b skills, b/c he is making his statement why he should have a spot in the lineup.
Giambi's return makes our bench incredibly deep and gives Joe options.
**Rangers note*** reports around the net say we are talking to LA about D and Florida about backup goalie. We are still in the Jovo hunt..
