Yanks on Their Way to Losing Again
This is the man who keeps putting Mientkiewicz in the Yankee line-up. I wonder how many in a row they would have to lose in a row before the Yanks would finally make a change. We're on 6 and 7 is looming.

Andy Phillips is bad. Phelps should be playing.
Andy Phillips Fucking Blows...Doug M is also the guy who makes nice plays at 1st...if it wasnt for him Jeter would have 4-7 more errors right now...Yankee Fans always complained they wanted a defense 1st baseman and now they got one...they would rather play phelps who is iffy on D...we have 8 guys in the lineup who can pick up the slack for doug...it seems like yankee fans are just to greedy

Mientkiewicz cost us more with his bat than he save over Phelps with his glove. And the idea of 8 man line-ups supporting a terrible hitter always seem to lead to that terrible hitter being up when they need a hit.
Wheres the Post with Abreu with a 2-25 slump or Damon batting .220 so far this year..its pretty easy to blame torre for everything
Its just funny that Were sucking right now and were blaming it on one Player and on the manager...Cause i guess some people think the Pitching is Cy Young so far this year....Worst Pitching Staff in MLB right now...its sad
Yeah, Dan, we're better sitting either of them for Melky who's hitting .200. I don't know if you're related to Minky or something but the rational move would be to sit him for the guy who can hit since Phelps hasn't been bad at first.
I agree runs saved are just as good as runs produced, the problem is he is not producing at all.
the fact our starters aside from Andy and Wang cant go 6 combined with Joe's over and sometimes mis use of the pen is the core of the problem.
aight then lets start phelps and when jeter keeps on bouncing his throws and phelps isnt playing that much great D...i dont wanna see torre being blamed for putting phelps in

agreed about the pitching injuries and pen abuse, but one of the little things he could have done to lessen some of the problem would have been to have Mientkiewicz, who's not a major league player anymore, sit.
What else can torre do if his pitchers(except for andy and wang) are going 3-4 innings and letting up 6-9 runs with 80 pitches...he has no choice but to use his bullpen
