Kevin Curtis On the Way?
Speedy Ram WR Kevin Curtis will visit Giants Central tonight according to a web report. Regular blog contributor Dan has persuaded me that adding him would not preclude the Giants from taking one of the great receivers in the draft. It would certainly spell the end of Tim Carter, which is a plus. Additionally, as Ram under Martz he ran the sort of complex routes the Coughlin system calls for, and would therefore be a good fit and improve team speed.
UPDATE: Curtis has fired Tom Condon and as a result, may not show up at his Giants meeting tonight.
FURTHER UPDATE: There is an internet report stating that Curtis flew home to Salt Lake City, Utah, instead of visiting with the Giants.
STILL FURTHER UPDATE: There was a free agent visitor at Giants Stadium today, but he is as yet unknown. Could have been Ian Scott, and I'm praying it wasn't Rod Hood.
WHAT THE HECK, ANOTHER UPDATE: Dominic Rhodes is meeting with the Buffalo Bills tomorrow. Could Willis McGahee be going somewhere?

to the person above me the answer is NO....to the Giants fans out there if Reese wants to be on our good side do not let him leave without a contract
Dan I am in your corner on this one
(reposting from a previous thread as it is more relevant here)
I think Curtis would be a solid add. He kind of reminds me of a smaller version of Ed McCaffery as in the possession receiver. He could become that safety net for Eli thus allowing Toomer to run different routes that can diversify the offense.
He's much faster than Eddie McC, but should be reliable.
Toomer has also restructured to allow us more shopping money. I expect us to bring in as many as half a dozen mid tier players.
I like the philosophy, spend wisely not foolishly. I am still going to keep an eye on the Briggs situation as it is possible he could be our big prize, but wont be upset if we dont get him.
I don't want to invest that much in anyone. What did we draft Wilkinson for if we do that? Time to win by outscouting and outsmarting.
thomas jones is a jet, no one is a giant at least if it stays like this tommy boy will be gone
lol. It'll change, we'll bring in half a dozen.
that Jones is a Jet makes it more likely that Rhodes will be a Giant.
that makes me wanna cry
If we're not bringing in any higher level FA's and now we're not, it makes sense to hold onto all our picks and try to go cheap on Rhodes. We can then pick a running back, too, and no one with a big deal is in the way. I'm into the youth movement that seems to be upon us.
who reported that, anyone or did you find that out from someone you know
someone I know. Btw, I just added another update.
not the giants, we dont do business in march
relax dan, big things afoot.
sorry when it comes to the G-men im very un patient
Newsday is saying Curtis Might Be Here Tomorrow
Lotta guys might be here tomorrow.
At this point...Are the price tags going up or starting to go down?
There were some big numbers today...Where does it stop?
it probably stops where the Giants start. I think tomorrow will be an interesting day.
