Rangers Inexplicably Extend Blair Betts

Whenever I get mad at the Yankess, one of my other teams invariably does something dumber. Sure the Yanks have seemed to gotten rid of Randy Johnson in a pure salary dump and brought in a first baseman who can't hit, but both of those things are rapidly curable because there is no salary cap in baseball. There is one in hockey, though, and that's why it's egregiously stupid of the Rangers to tie up 4th line crummy players with multi-year deals. They have now assured that Blair Betts will be around blocking better prospects for at least two more years. Dumb, Rangers, dumb. You have to use that cap money on playmakers. You can sign or call up a cheap Blair Betts type any time you need to. This was foolish.
