Favorite Comic Book Covers!

Luke Cage, Hero For Hire (#4 and #14) by Billy Graham. Billy Graham was a great `70's comic book artist who was African American. His art was sort of similar to Frank Brunner's and that's to say it was great. He handled Luke Cage, Hero For Hire, and The Black Panther, back when I was getting comics and apparently passed away some time in the `90's. It was hard to find his work on the net, but here are two really nice example. Hero for Hire was a great concept, that eventually got watered down as Powerman, bringing him in line with the rest of the do-gooders. When he started he needed to get paid, and it was fun! Graham's pencils were fantastic, but eventually Luke fans got stuck with George Tuska. He sucked. Anyway, I hope no comic fan ever forgets how good BG was. He rocked.
