Bava

Speak of the devil and he shall appear. Flix is now starting "Planet of th Vampires," a 1965 blending of Sci-Fi and Horror that Mario Bava directed for American International (famous for their beach party flicks and so many others). Anyway, Bava's art sense is awesome and way ahead of `65 here. The script sucks, but the direction doesn't. This was probably the flick he did before Dr. Goldfoot and the Girl Bombs, which has likely been surpressed.
