For those who favor Classic Comedy over sports and what the major networks have to offer, Turner Classics is showing Marx brothers movies tonight! The two best are Duck Soup and Horsefeathers, and they're on late. But the others are great, too, and you should know them.

BTW, Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine is on Flix right now. Completely idiotic, but on some level you can't beat Frankie Avalon as a secret agent going against Vincent Price as Dr. Goldfoot. By the way, the Bikini Machine needs to be recovered and reactivated.

More to recommend it. Excellent soundtrack and a really unique blend of beach party/James Bond craze/Vincent Price horror/haunted house cycle elements.

The genius Mario Bava actually made a sequel to this flick called "Dr. Goldfoot and the Girl Bombs" but last I checked it was not on DVD and may have been surpressed.

If you want to see Bava's best foray into sixties spy-kitche, check out "Danger: Diabolique" It is available on DVD and in letterbox. Rule of thumb: Letterbox is good, Pan and Scan is utter crap. If you don't like letterbox for some reason, keep trying till you do.
