Yanks Take: Arizona C/1B Austin Wells

This is a kid we'd hoped they'd sign a few years ago when the Yanks took all those sign ability kids on Day 3. He's got a great lefty bat as he did as a prep, and this is just terrific. Not everyone thinks he's a catcher, but the Yanks have a good catching program and this is a kid they've been on for years.  I think he was a Yankee fan growing up, and we were really hoping he'd sign out of HS. Couldn't be worked out then, but it will work out now, and he didn't go off the college and fail after turning down the Yankees, he went off to college and RAKED! And he's got that great lefty swing!
