Rangers Update

Breaking News in two parts:

First, the Rangers announced that Igor Shesterkin and Pavel Buchnevich were in a car crash in Brooklyn last night.  Igor was driving and has a cracked rib. Pavel was shaken up and is day to day.  Air bags were deployed. Rings of harmony around a quick recovery for Igor and Pavel.

Second: Chris Kreider has signed a 7 year, 6.5M extension. This is great news as that looks like a hometown discount and Kreids was sure to get more in free agency. But some guys are just Rangers, and that's what Kreider is. Thought might make him Captain, too. but the leadership group they have seems to be serving well as is.

They'll have to make some trades to get the cap in shape, but these were the announcements at John Davidson's press conference.
