Giants Release Ogletree and Martin

As expected the Giants have released Alec Ogletree and and Kareem Martin. This creates another big chunk of cap space and the Giants are expecting to keep cutting.  It will be interesting if there are any performance cuts to go along with the cap driven cuts, now that Coach Judge and his staff have reviewed the game tapes.

On another Giant note. Football writers are being intentionally obtuse about Joe Judge's no names policy. Yesterday, they tried to jimmy up click bait by opining that they might not be committed to Daniel Jones. Really? All of the candidates they interviewed liked Daniel Jones. Judge was one of them.  So his no names policy is real and he's trying to install a meritocracy. That's fine. Btw, many of us still remember a just hired Jim Fassel opine that, "I don't think Dave Brown is a good quarterback, I think Dave Brown is a GREAT quarterback."
